Minint 150-ąsias Mikalojaus Konstantino Čiurlionio gimimo metines, Žemaičių dailės muziejus pristato ypatingą Belgijos menininko Arne Quinze solo parodą – „The Brutal and Fragile Levitation of Nature“ (Gamtos pusiausvyra tarp nuožmios galios ir švelnaus grožio).

Tai ne tik paroda, o tikra patirtis – instaliacijų, skulptūrų, scenografijos ir audiovizualinių elementų sintezė, kuri panardina žiūrovą į hipnotizuojantį pasaulį, kuriame gamtos jėga susiduria su žmogaus struktūruotu pasauliu. Tai – kvietimas į tylų dialogą su mus supančia gamta.

“Jau 30 metų savo kūryba siekiu tyrinėti nuolat kintančią pusiausvyrą tarp nuožmios jėgos ir švelnaus grožio glūdinčią gamtoje. Savo darbuose stengiuosi įamžinti šį ypatingą reiškinį… Siekiu sugrąžinti gamtos įvairovę į mūsų kasdienį gyvenimą. Mes pamiršome jos nesuvaldomą galią, trapumą ir didžiulę jėgą. Mano kūryba - bandymas atkurti šį prarastą ryšį.“ - sako Arne Quinze.

Parodoje dominuoja trys esminės medžiagos – metalai, keramika ir stiklas. Ši sąjunga – tarsi gamtos ir kultūros dvikova, kurioje galia susitinka su trapiu grožiu. Keramikoje įspausti gamtos pėdsakai – medžių tekstūros, natūralios formos – primena apie laikinumą. Rankomis formuoto stiklo elegancija kontrastuoja su grubiai apdorotu metalu, tačiau šios priešybės sukuria harmoniją ir balansą.

Ši ekspozicija – mažas pasaulis, kuriame per įtrūkimus veržiasi gyvybė. Ji ragina permąstyti, kaip toli esame nutolę nuo gamtos, ir kviečia vėl pajusti baimingą susižavėjimą jos laukine didybe.

Parodos atidarymo akcentas – išskirtinis Leon Somov ir violončelių dueto pasirodymas. On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, the Samogitian Art Museum is presenting a special solo exhibition by Belgian artist Arne Quinze - The Brutal and Fragile Levitation of Nature.

This is not just an exhibition, but a real experience - a fusion of installations, sculptures, scenography and audiovisual elements that immerse the viewer in a hypnotic world where the power of nature clashes with the structured world of man. It is an invitation to a silent dialogue with the natural world around us.

"For 30 years, my work has sought to explore the ever-changing balance between the fierce power and gentle beauty found in nature. In my work I try to capture this extraordinary phenomenon... I strive to bring the diversity of nature back into our everyday lives. We have forgotten its irrepressible power, its fragility and its immense strength. My work is an attempt to restore this lost connection." - says Arne Quinze.

The exhibition is dominated by three key materials - metals, ceramics and glass. This union is like a duel between nature and culture, where power meets fragile beauty. The traces of nature imprinted in the ceramics - the textures of the trees, the natural shapes - are a reminder of transience. The elegance of hand-formed glass contrasts with roughly worked metal, but these opposites create harmony and balance.

This exhibition is a small world where life bursts through the cracks. It invites us to rethink how far we have drifted from nature and to feel an awe-inspiring fascination with its wild grandeur once again.

The opening of the exhibition is highlighted by an exceptional performance by Leon Somov and the cello duo. Their live performance will serve as a sonic bridge into the world of Arne Quinze's works, framing the artistic atmosphere and enhancing the emotional experience. It will be a unique opportunity to experience how music, sculpture and space merge into one breathing whole.
